[Icom] How to replace plastic trimmers on IC-735?

Hi, 

I think I may have asked this before, but don't
remember.

I have an IC-735 with the typical major FMing problem.
 Got the five new trimcaps from Icom, but they didn't
have a specific procedure to follow to replace them. 
I do have the service manual, and it took a whole lot
of reading just to fine where the caps are in the
radio, but the photos and board diagrams are so fuzzy
it's not possible to tell how many shields, etc, have
to come out first.

I can just plough into it and hope I do no damage, but
I'd rather hear from someone who's "been there and
done that" so I don't do something dumb like spend 12
hours disassembling something that does not need to be
disassembled.  I thought somewhere I saw someone who
had a couple page write-up on which cover to remove
first, which assembly to remove, etc. 

Anybody got this common repair documented on a
website?
