Thanks Allen, David & Mike for the crossband instructions. I new the 2800
could do this fuction, but the instructions doesent list it. Just got the
radio yesterday & love it....................Patrick K8CMA

Cross-Band Repeat Mode Activation Procedure

From the set-up menu, set the squelch delay to "short" (otherwise the
first three seconds of your transmission will be chopped off).

Select the VHF and UHF frequencies you want to link together in
Cross-Band operation.  Program the splits, PL tones, etc., prior to
activating either Cross-Band repeat mode.

To Activate Regular Cross-Band Repeat -
Press and hold "VHF Main", "UHF Main" and "CHG/L" buttons until the "key"
icon appears and begins to flash.

To Activate Cross-Band Repeat with Zero Hang Time -
Press and hold the bottom button on VHF side, "UHF Main" and "CHG/L"
buttons until the "key" icon appears and begins to flash.

To Clear the Cross Band Repeat Function -
Press and hold the "CHG/L" button until the flashing "key" icon
disappears.
