Also settles worries about transmitting on hf and overloading the vhf side
of the 706. Without an antenna attached to the 706 for vhf I assume this
won't be a problem. I have my outbacker stealth and cushcraft 270m separated
by about 3 feet so the Alinco should be OK also shouldn't it?

I'm running the 706MKIIG at 100W RTTY to a Ham Stick on the roof with a
thru-the-glass VHF/UHF antenna 3 ft or less away and no problems either
