I have a MKII which I use once in a while on 2m (its
mainly for HF). It does its job....but I would anyday
prefer a Yaesu for VHF/UHF and a Icom for HF. My FT
416 HT has a more sensitive receiver than the Rx on my
MKII. I use my MKII to work the local repeater and
that is it...for QSO's on simplex I prefer using my
FT416 which 'hears better'. Just my thoughts and my
experience.

PS : This compatison has been made with a VHF handie.
I have no clue how the Rx on FT100 or FT817 is.
