[Icom] Have High SWR on Ham Sticks

Don't you have a fair amount of antenna very close and parallel to the back
of the vehicle?  I haven't seen how the license plate mount works, but
surely it's terribly close?  I gave up (maybe a little prematurely) on my
screwdriver on hitch mount.  I put a Ham Stick on a mag mount on the roof
and all is well (1:1 on 20M, great reports, Dx etc).
