[Icom] IC-R9000

The display on my R9000 has very little vertical deflection when it is first
turned on. It takes about 45 minutes for the image to stretch down into
place on the screen. Even after that it is not perfect but is not too bad. I
have schematics for the receiver but not for the CRT display unit. Icom says
it can replace the CRT with an LCD for about $1000 but I rather not do that
if I can fix the display that is in it. Is there anyone who has had
experience with or might have any useful information. I feel that it is
likely a temperature sensitive component that I should be able to find with
coolant but before I open this thing up I would like to be as prepaired as
possible.
