[Icom] Service Manuals on CD

Well, I know I am going to probably add nothing to the debate, however, I
am somewhat amused that Icom and others have created a situation similar to
the record companies. In that they have failed to provide a service or
product that fits their customers needs. While it is not profitable for
them to provide manual services on obsolete product, they surely could
benefit by supporting second source vendors for this service. Long have I
wished for the ability to customize a cd of my favorite tunes, only to be
unable to purchase that product from the recording industry. MP3 and
others are pushing that industry out of the comfort zone. While not
endorsing copyright infringement in any way, maybe these new media will
force the vendors to respond to their customers. Dave
