[Icom] 746 problem

My first thought is that you have the "break-in" turned off on your
transmit side.  This will give you a tone but no transmit.  BTW, just
because the break in is turned on, on the rx side doesn't mean it will
work on the tx side.  You'll have to flip over to the transmitting VFO,
push the "VOX/BK-IN" button to turn it on.  SHORTCUT: you can do this
from the transmit VFO while holding the round XFC button next to the big
VFO knob.
