[Icom] Was IC-910H heat/fan problem, next question

While the 910H owners (me included) are out of the closet, let me ask a 
question which is sure to get the "radio police" on the scene!


Has anyone performed the IC910H out-of-band TX mod for the 440MHz band?  If 
so, have you performed the software (menu) adjustment to change the 
out-of-band power percentage ratio from the default of 10% to the full 100% ?

I would like to compare results. My observations are as follows: 

It appears that while the service adjustment actually works on VHF, it 
appears that the microprocessor "overrides" the service adjustment once the 
CPU tunes past the 450.000 boundary. Anything of a setting of over 50% seems 
to not make a difference, almost like the CPU limits the UHF out-of-band 
power to 50% no-matter-what!  

Anyone else have any experience with this???
