The correct answer to the question asked is:
R507 on the Main Unit is the HF power output adjustment. The main unit is
located on the bottom side of the radio. It is the left most of three
potentiometers, looking left to right (with front of rig facing you).
Now if anyone would take the time to read up on the specifications of the RF
devices used in the IC756PRO, rather than opening their mouth and playing
"radio cop", they would know that there is a little "headroom" to increase
the output slightly without a noticeable degradation in IMD. An increase
15-20 watts or less should not be an issue. Now trying to reach 150w or more;
that's another story!
BTW, sometimes it make us all feel better if we see a "full 100w" out of our
100w radio. A lot of 100w radios are slightly short on their rated output
from the factory, while some of us tend to have power meters that fall on the
minus side of the +/- 10% accuracy rule. Nothing like the "high" seeing that
meter move! Almost as good as sex for some hams!
On a more serious note, ask me how many 930 and 940S power supplies I have
repaired due to this issue (the golden screwdriver symptom)! The Ic current
starts to climb really quick after a 10% increase.
