[Icom] help !!! IC 746 AND PS 85

Hi Friends
picked today one ICOM IC 746 with PS 85 psu. And my nightmare came true.
Both are heavily tinkered with. The 746 has the main board to front panel
cable missing and still worse...... the LCD display is gone I think ( there
seems to be bluish liquid spill in it ). Rig is dead. I don't have a clue ,
where to start. don't have a circuit diagram too.
Now psu..... it has one power FET missing Q 2 ( IRFPE 40 )  and one resistor
is also taken out (R 1 ) . Again no circuit.
I know I have bit much more than I can chew but I want to give it a god try.
Any suggestions, comments and even brickbats ( for picking up junk and now
asking for help ... hi. ) are welcome
