What in the world makes you think we're their best market?  Japan is
their best market.  We are a very weak second.

Again, common sense (from a business perspective) is to encourage buying
matching (meaning same brand) equipment.  They have no interest in
compatability with Ameritron, or even with Tokyo Hy-Power, for that
matter.  If I were running Icom I sure wouldn't change that.
