Andy, that actually makes business sense.  Folks, remember that Icom,
Kenwood, Yaesu, Alinco, JRC, et al are all in business to make *money*. 
The big three obviously produce products that most hams want, since most
hams buy their products.  I, personally, have bought a lot of Mizuho and
Tokyo Hy-Power gear.  Why?  It suits my personal needs.  There *are*
alternatives.

Mind you, I'm just too cheap (and too much of a QRPer) to buy an
IC-756ProII.  Do I think it's a good rig?  I haven't played with one
yet, but the IC-756Pro sure was.
