[Icom] New Fan in IC 781 ??

I have often wondered why a used computer fan (CPU etc) could not be used
outside any rig to replace or augment fans? Most are 12vdc, could be
placed to suck out and attached to the external power supply. Used fans
run anywhere from nothing to about 1/2 price of a new one.
