[Icom] Icom Pro II and some fair objective feedback...

I have both the PRO and the FT1000D and use them both side by side in SO2R
for RTTY contesting. I think each has advantages over the other in certain
areas. I can see myself trading off the PRO some day, but not the 1000D. I
think that 1000D will be on my desk for a LONG time. Don't know which gives
superior performance, but I think I like the feel and operation of the
1000D over the PRO.
I like the idea of having one radio that is the best of the classic design
and another that is (was?) the best of the digital designs.
I think if I ever arrange a good spectrum scope for the 1000D, I would
consider trading in the PRO on a second 1000D.
