[Icom] Heil Goldline & VOX

To all who have the 756Pro and Goldline,

I would be interested to know how well the Goldline works with the 756Pro
and VOX. Even if you don't use VOX I would appreciate it if you would check
and see if VOX works ok.

I have the Goldline but the average power output is somewhat lower than with
the HM-36 that came with the rig. However, the audio quality with the
Goldline is very good. But VOX is not really usable. Even with the VOX
senstivity all the way up you have to speak rather aggressivly to trip it
and then keep it in. A big difference is noticed with the HM-36 connected.
The VOX senstivity has to be turned down or most any sound will trip it.
Bob Heil personaly checked the mic and said it was ok. Icom checked the rig
with the Goldline and said it was ok. However, they failed to check it with
the VOX eventhough I asked them to in the letter that accompanied the radio.
