Works great! Bought one for my 706 MKII because of low audio and not being
happy with the sound of the stock mic. In Dayton last year, Bob Heil was
demonstrating his product, comparing between his HMM-IC and the stock mic.
There was a very noticeable difference in favor of his product..... I use
it on the 706 MKII and a 756Pro.... I'm not affiliated with Bob in any way,
the product was impressive.
Only down side is the fact that the HMM-IC is not offered in a modular plug
format for the 706x program. You have to buy a modular plug to 8-pin plug
adapter. Gets a little pricey, but ultimately still worth it. The other
alternative is the HS-706 headset designed for the 706 series..... exact
same microphone element, has the modular plug and the added bonus of the
earpiece. You can hang it around your neck if you don't want it over your
head.... PTT switch is an in-line affair in the cord....
Try one.....

Hello All,
Has anyone tried out the Heil HMM-IC hand mic for mobil use on an IC-706?
I'm thinking about getting one, but want to hear (so to speak ;-)...) actual
experiences with it.
Thanks!
