Sean... I have a 736, and recently when I was thinning out the shack...I
sold the Kenwood 850 and kept the 736.
It does not have a lot of bells and whistles, but enough to keep me happy
and not clutter things up.
I have not noticed any noise from the power supply, and if there was
any...you can be sure you would read about it in eham.net.
My likes on the rig are
*Built in AC
*Analog S meter
*HUGH freq display
*6 meters
*ease of use.
Those are very big plusses for the rig!
