Another interesting piece about ICOM!

However even the Germans may not have been the first to use the 
diecast chassis technique. A friend of mine has (or had) a vintage 
domestic radio built by the British Eddystone company some time in 
the early 30's which uses the same approach of a diecast chassis. 
Unfortunately I have no other details...
