[Icom] FT-1000MP vs. IC-756PRO

I know this has been asked before by people, but I don't seem to have any
of the opinions left!  Also, I know there is another thread concerning
the bigger brothers of both these radios, but that is outside of my price
bracket.  I'm thinking of selling some current radio stuff to make room
for one of these rigs.  I want to know what people like/dislike about
both of them.  I want to also know if people use them in any of the
applications I am planning - contesting, DXing, VHF contesting,
transverter operation, etc.  I really appreciate it!  Also, I would like
to know of any that are for sale.  Thanks!
