[Icom] IC-756 or an Original Pro

Hi Greg,

Go for the PRO, you won't be disappointed! The original 756 has come way
down in price. I see some with options for around $1,000, although a friend
of mine said something about seeing them listed used on distributor sites
(Burghardts) for around $850 now. I don't know many that have stayed with
the original 756 that could afford to make the upgrade. I've heard it's a
very big difference, especially in the receiver and the scope sensitivity.
When I sold my brand new PROI about a year ago it was tough getting $1,800
for it. I suspect you'll see them used now for $1,500-$1,600.

  Brian (N0VSB)
