[Icom] IC 756Pro, PW1 and CT-17

Thanks,

The baud rate is fixed at 9600. After reading the replies I got on the
reflector, I essentially ignored the extra warning page that came with
the PW1 and hooked it up according to the tech notes on the web site. It
seems to follow the frequency shifts fine. My guess is Icom got tired of
support questions and just decided to say "don't do it".

The only problem I have now is that after doing everything according to
the manual, including adjusting the ALC to get 1KW at the prescribed ALC
setting on CW, I find that when talking on SSB I can get no more than
400 to 500 watts. Did you have this problem?

Warren AC7UA

Interesting. Been using 756PRO, PW-1, and DX4WIN together for more than
3 years. Never had this happen. Is your baud rate fixed or "AUTO"?

Trouble is, at least one popular logging (DX4Win) program doesn't work
reliably if C-IV tranceive is enabled... Because it always polls and it
has an annoying tendency to freeze if a there is a data collision...
Perhaps in the next release it can be resolved...

to poll
