[Icom] IC-706 MK II Slow Tuning Problem

The 706 has many speeds for the dial for different modes and can be
adjusted in the set up mode

Hi Out There,  My IC-706 MK II has a slow tuning problem.  It only tunes
about 1 KHz per dial revolution (as compared to approx 2 KHz before) and
when you flip the dial the speed of freq change no longer speeds up.
Any ideas on what may cause this?
