[Icom] Replacing the IC756 display - (A Correction)

Hello All,

Concerning my recent post about replacing the IC756 LCD 
display, please note that item (3) under "Procedure" should read 
as follows:-

"(3) It is not necessary to remove the braking mechanism  
revealed under the main knob. The associated black adjusting 
screw just above the  "lock" button does not prevent removal of 
the panel. However the plated self tapping screw retaining one 
end of the brake mechanism should be removed. "

My apologies for the error. I think you will find it difficult 
to remove the panel without undoing the said self tapper...
