Yes, I understood that and I convoluted the radio case issue. The outer =
chassis was my intent with keeping the "case temperature" at room =
temperature.

In the receive mode for a few hours at a time the console/chassis =
temperature at the rear left seems to be warm. I'm not blowing air into =
our out of any of the vents and am just circulating air on the rear, =
bottom, and left panel of the chassis. Two .095 A 12 volt fans are =
bound together accomplishing the circulation. After running these fans =
the chassis temperature is cool to the touch. Voila no more baking.
I know that if the circuit operates as stated in your service manual =
that overheating, which is a very nebulous term, will not occur, however =
I still don't like the heat.
