[Icom] What am I missing here?

Recently I did receiver sensitivity measurements on several different
transcievers and I didn't find anything that came close to what the ARRL lab
observed. I used the same procedure they do with fairly well calibrated
equipment but come up with different results. Some better, some worse, all
different. And MAJOR differences. So my conclusion is forget the specs,
just go with whatever turns your crank.

Besides, what may be best for weak signal, 20 meter cw DX probably won't
work worth a darn for local ssb rag chewing on 75m.

And I found a real good way to get a rig owner upset. Just show him how the
numbers on his radio compared to others.

BTW, I found it not possible to observe MDS on an Omni VI+ as there was no
place where I could not hear birdies. So my MDS on the Omni VI+ was
measured to a weaker birdy, not receiver noise.
