Several years ago while active duty USMC, I saw various UN vehicles with
the same setup...HF whips almost always mounted to the front bumper...
I too had a 'burb and was curious on this but never got around to 
mounting any HF gear aboard...Front bumpber seems like a good
alternative
but what about the legal aspects of it ie blocking view while driving?
