It amazes me how many clubs operate FD under Class E from a fixed location
with AC these days...when the concept of FIELD DAY is operating from the
field. I guess if there is an actual emergency, they will also expect
catered BBQ, food, etc.

I have driven into TS and hurricanes in my life. I don't recall catered BBQ
or air condition being there when we arrived on site. I know a lot of the
clubs in the Houston area DO operate from the field...and I tip my hat to
them.....congrats on keeping the spirit alive.
