Steve,
I havent tried a replacement on my T8 or T81...but on my THF6 I put a Maldol
triband (2/220/440) antenna on it and it beats the pants off the stock
antenna but it doesn't work on 6..Personally, the MFJ antennas meet up with
the nickname "Mighty Fine Junk"...Any antenna for 6 and other bands will
suck on 6 unless its almost 54inches long ;) For 2/440 there are plenty of
good HT antennas that work but for gain on 2mtrs? Nope...best you can hope
for is 1/4wave (19inches) and 0gain...anything less will NOT have gain on
2mtrs...
