OK more anecdotal evidence. Had a visitor (CB'er) in the house
checking out the FT-736r. I worked a few stations on 50.125 ssb real
quick, OK, so he's not impressed with SSB, ok hit VFO-B go to 52.525
FM. Hear a couple of people chatting they signed so I called the weak
one, KG4YUW. Turns out he's on a VX-7R with a dipole in the attic in
EM-74. That's about 800 miles line of sight. I was running about 10
watts he at tops could have only been running 2 watts.
