You really ought to figure out how much capacitance (or range of same) your particular loop construction will need to come to the desired resonant frequency/frequencies. Once you know the capacitance(s) you need, you'll have an some insight into what sorts of capacitors (or combinations of capacitors) will be adequate, how simple or complex it will be to homebrew one, or how much one will cost. Trying to design your capacitor without knowing how large it must be is just daydreaming, really.
