Hi Loren - welcome to this group. It has been quiet but yes, a number of us do build a
number of things - often with tubes. The solid state guys tend to congregate in the QRP
groups.
A VERY small number of people build high tech modern style radios from scratch, but there
is probably more interest in vintage - reproduction technology like Michael Tausson described
for you. With the availability of chasses, old power supply components and pretty much any
RF parts you could need, it is not hard to put it all together.
What specifically gets your interest? Transmitters? Receivers? Accessories? Tube type
radio construction? Solid state?
