Hi Steve,
You'll need to put a 50 ohm load on the output of the BPF, and also make
sure your DDS freq generator has a 50 ohm output impedance.  (If it doesn't
then use a 50 ohm feedthrough termination.  Then put your scope across the
50 ohm load and measure the voltage as you sweep the frequency.  If your
freq generator has any sort of calibrated frequency output, you won't need
to use your frequency counter at all.
