[HomeBrew] Toroid question

  In all the equipment that I have seen the "binocular" setup use, they 
had a series of cores with a piece of brass tubing run through the 
stack. The two stacks were laid along each other, and either a copper or 
brass rectangular piece that went over the ends of the brass tubes was 
soldered to the tubes.
