[HomeBrew] AC vs DC Breakers

An ampere of AC current is defined as to produce the same heating effect 
as 1 ampere DC.  If its a thermal breaker it will probably work BUT the 
breaker has not been tested with DC current unless it is so marked.  DC 
arcing is different from AC and may damage the breaker.  The arc may not 
be snuffed properly.  Underwriter's Laboratory would frown on it.  They 
do not even condone an AC fuse being used on DC!  There are reasons for 
their position.
