Here's one way to do it.  Although this circuit only isolates the
equipment RxD, all you have to do is iterate the design and reverse it
for a complete RS232 T/R path.  Don't forget to spoof the CTS/RTS and
CD/DCD lines on the computer end by shorting pins 7&8 and 6&4 together.

to completly isolate my TS870 fro the computer.
