[HomeBrew] DSP kit or project

Hi All,
I am interested to know if there is a kit or project around that i can build
my self.
I would like a DSP for my TS 440SAT.
I will be working dx mobile and portable and thought i could build one.
Alternatively, does anyone have a graphic equalizer going cheap.
A 7or higher channel would be nice, at least that will help.
