All:
I came in contact with a digital VFO that uses an HC4049 Hex Buffer as its output. I would like to use this circuit as an LO for a tube mixer circuit. My concern is with the signal output of the 4049 and it's output Z. Current Vcc of this item is nominally 5-8 VDC. Something tells me that this may be a low Z output (but then again, I don't know). The grid of the mixer should be some high Z input.
Can anyone please advise? I would appreciated the feedback. Thanks. Cal, n6KYR.
