Hello Ron;

I use caustic acid, (vitriolic) really don't know how its named in english,
I find it in drug stores, painting shops...
BE AWARE !!!
Its granulated, white coloured, mixed two parts in ten of water turns very
agressive.
Releases a lethal gas.
Do it in open air/space.
Use globes, glasses and breathing mask.
Hang the part to be cleaned with steel wire and a 3 ft rod, drop it in the
plastic bucket containing the acid and wait a few
minutes, check, clean with clear water and drop it again if necessary.
I recommend testing with garbage aluminum samples first.
Don't do it alone, keep children away etc, etc...
If you don't feel confident with this method, please don't do it !!!
Look for assistance from someone with enough knowledge in chemicals and this
matters !!!
I'm no responsible/liable for any accident that may occur !!!

Frank,

EA3GAZ

best 73,
