[HomeBrew] Any Ameco AC-1 builders out there?/Xmtr help needed.

Has anyone built one of these or a replica thereof? I'm interested as I have just finished a working replica of an AC-1 but have just a few problems with it (AC hum on the signal, etc). I'm currently using a 520 VCT 90 mA xfmr with two  33 uFd filter caps and a 2H choke in pi config for filtering. Rectifier is a pair of silicon rectifier diodes. Any help would be appreciated.
