[HIham] Governor to sign Hawaii House Bill 980, mobile electronics, into law today, May 20

Governor Neal Ambercrombie will sign HB 980 today at 11:30 am in the 
Executive office.  HB 980 enforces the use of mobile electronics and 
limitations on text messaging while operating a motor vehicle.  The 
exemption for mobile amateur radio use which were available in four 
counties has survived the 2013 State Legislature will be in effect 
state-wide, including Kalawao County.  The bill takes effect July 1, 2013.
