To All:

Events over the last 15 months have convinced me that the very
desirable function of having a daily morning HF 40 meter net would be
best served by removing the ARRL-affiliation status and then running
the net as an INDEPENDENT net. For clarity, I believe a name change is
also necessary.

Therefore I have run the Friendly Net for the last time, and will be
opening the ALOHA NET daily at 9 AM on 7088 kHz. If and when someone
wants to revive the Friendly Net, the Aloha Net will find another
frequency.

I would like to thank the present members of the Friendly Net for
their continued support.
