[HIham] Anticipated SKYWARN activation, Thursday 6:00 pm

Hawaii Hams,

A storm front is expected to arrive in the Hawaiian Island during Thursday,
prompting the National Weather Service to issue a flood watch.  It is 
anticipated
that SKYWARN operations will start at Thursday, 6:00 pm.  Below is an 
excerpt
from Clem Jung, KH7HO outlining the expected operations.

We will be using the following frequencies:

- VHF:  Interisland VHF repeater link - 147.060, 147.04, and 147.02.

- UHF:  Round Top UHF/IRLP Node 3080, 443.425+ p/l 114.8 repeater and hookup to the Western Reflector

- HF:  7.088 (approximately, depending on conditions)

Note that NWS Honolulu experiences high levels of electrical noise, which
limits HF operations.

Monitor communications channels, news outlets and NOAA weather radio for the latest information
and weather alerts.
