[HIham] Latest Honolulu City Council Bill 4 proposal available for review, testimony

Hawaii Amateur Radio Operators,

The Transportation and Planning Committee of the Honolulu City Council 
has released two proposed drafts of Bill 4, which is the bill which 
would affect mobile cellular telephone and text messaging operations on 
the Island of Oahu.  As currently worded, one of the drafts could have 
an effect on amateur radio operations.

Both drafts are available for review.  Instructions for submitting 
written testimony, and for signing up to provide personal testimony are 
at this web site.

The Committee meeting is this Thursday, April 9th at 9:00 am.  Amateurs 
are encouraged to sign up and provide testimony, as this is a pivotal 
meeting.  Please provide testimony in a professional manner to continue 
to enhance the reputation of amateur radio operators as outstanding 
members in this community.
