We would like to welcome everyone to attend the next EARC meeting this
coming Thursday night, July 22, 2004 at 7:00 pm. There will be a briefing
on the Incident Command System (ICS) by Carter Davis, KH6FV. This is the
unified command system used by most agencies (e.g., HFD, HPD, Red Cross,
FEMA, etc.). As emergency communicators we need to know and understand how
this system functions in order for us to support agencies appropriately. We
will be using ICS concepts and terminology more in our different public
service events such as the Kailua July 4th Parade. The parade communicators
used ICS and its terminology to support the parade. Please come and learn
more about it.
The EARC General Membership meeting is potluck, so please bring something if
you can - it does not have to be elaborate or in great quantity.
The location for the meeting will be at the American Red Cross bldg., 4155
Diamond Head Road. Talk-in freq is 146.88-MHz (Diamond Head repeater).

73 and Aloha,
Kevin, AH6QO, President
EARC
