[HIham] mission statement, progress report - ham swap meet

To all Oahu hams:

At last night's EARC meeting, the mission statement received no comment or
interest, so I am not floating it here.  If you want a copy please e-mail.

Instead, what prevailed at the meeting were unsubstantiated negative
comments on how I managed the Aiea Elementary swap meet just held, and also
prevailing was clever parliamentary flim-flam engineered by the EARC board
to delay any prompt vote on EARC sponsorship of a follow-up event.

Although I appreciate the Koolau sponsorship, I feel that a one-club event
is not in all our best interests, and that as long as I personally am
involved, only a one-club event can happen.

Therefore at the next KARC meeting, I will be asking to be relieved of any
responsibility remaining for planning and organizing another swap meet.
