The 14th annual Leeward Community College Family Fun & Craft Fair will
be held on Saturday, October 25th, from 9 am to 2 pm. This event
features games, food, crafts, entertainment, and interactive educational
activities.

This year, the committee in charge of the educational activities has
asked me to put together an amateur radio activity. We'll have a couple
of tables and a bunch of chairs, under a tent on a grassy courtyard.
I've asked for electricity, and a spot where we can put antennas up.
We'll be one of about a dozen educational activities running
continuously over the five hours. The audience will primarily be young
children and their parents.

I'm looking for hams willing to come down and spend a few hours talking
to the public and conducting demonstrations. I'm also looking for
equipment, ideas, and display materials. I'd also welcome brochures
from ham clubs that I could give out.

If anyone is willing to participate in this activity, or has any
questions, or has ideas to share, please contact me at the e-mail
address shown in the signature file below, or call me at my office at
455-0682.
