[HIham] Bands alive and well ???

Well, the band conditions have been poor at best lately.  The A-index 
forecast for the next three days is 25/25/25, however, it may not be as bad as it 
seems.  Signals are down but there is an occasional bright spot.  This morning 
ZA1Z was weak but workable on 14010 around 2045Z.  Last night the Europeans were 
abundant on 20 meters till well past midnight.  To the night owls go the 
spoils, the low bands produce some good dx, it just takes patience. Ten and 
fifteen meters are a disaster, except for rare occasions.  Recently the East Timor 
operation has been very active, not sure but I believe they are gone now.  The 
Diego Garcia operators have been very active on all bands/modes.  Anyone hear 
any strange dx openings, the midnight 15 meter openings to Arabia are all but 
gone.  Otherwise its beach time.
