Just to clarify Ron's post about responses to the FCC
about this threat; it is now time to answer/respond
to the original comments about BPL. That response
period expired on July 9 or so.
If you send a comment in now, it MUST be a response,
specifically to one of the earlier submitted comments.
So, you have to do some homework before you write!
So far as I know, this list does not pass attachments
to emails; however, I have an excellent response
sent to the FCC which is both very instructive, and
can give you much ammuniction for your own response.
Most of the comments going in now are responses to
various utilities companies claiming that there will be
no interferrecne from raising the carrier power level
of the installed/planned BPL systems.
By the way that is another point: BPL as it is now
installed in various places is ALREADY LEGAL/ or
approved by the FCC. The present issue is about
the power companies gaining permission to increase
the power level of the signals!! Whether BPL as a
Part 15 service/device can be eliminated entirely is
another matter which may or may not become part
of future FCC action on this "service" by the power
utilities.
Should you want to see an excellent reply comment,
just email to me, and I will send it to you as an
attachment, .pdf file, right back to you. I didn't
write it, somebody else much more knowledgable
about the issue than I did.
The reply comment period expires Aug. 20th.
