Please pass this info along:
There will be an examination sessions scheduled during a midweek at
the Ala Wai YACHT Club House in July or/and possibly August 2002.
These sessions are aimed at that community for boaters in obtaining
their
General or Extra Class licenses for their use in the maritime mobile service.
The Technician Class will have to be taken before exams for General
and Extra
can be taken. Code seed requirements have been reduced to 5-wpm. Study books
are available at STARCOMM WIRELESS, 2024 North King Street, Mauka side two
blocks Ewa of Farrington High School. Call Office Manager: Tony Akamine @
845-7827 for availability of W5YI-VEC exam books.
Studies can also be accomplished over the Internet @:
http://www.qrz.com and click on exams (there are three).
If you are hitting a 95% level on these practice exam, move onto the
next higher level exam and try for a second higher class exam at the same
sitting.
       Got the picture?
Again, all administered exams must be taken in order, with the
Technician License Exam the entry level.
All others (non-boaters) who wish to sit for their exam are WELCOME,
but a reservations are required. Walk-ins will NOT be accepted w/o a
reservation.
       SORRY.
I have all VEC/FCC licensing forms and details.
Those interested please contact Lee @ 247-0587 (Please 9AM to 9PM as
early or late phone calls lack consideration and disrupt the family, a wife
who's not well).
Any questions contact me via e-mail or the above telephone number.
       Good Luck
